Meet the directors
David is well regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced PR and marketing gurus.
Prior to starting Wasamedia in 2007, David had a career in journalism and television before launching the Hilton Hotel in 2005. Always on the look out for creative ways of sharing brand stories, David also has the best contact book in the biz and is always happy to make introductions.
The only man in an office of over 12 women, and a crazy cricket fan, David insists on displaying an array of memorabilia above his desk (despite protests from his colleagues). When he isn’t travelling, David and his bulldogs’ Ziggi & Zoe are often seen around the streets of Darlinghurst.
Hailing from New Zealand, George left her law career to join David at Wasamedia in 2009.
The leader of agency life at Wasamedia, George’s excitable and enthusiastic personality shows through in everything she does.
She was instrumental in spearheading Wasamedia’s transformation from a traditional PR offering to its new incarnation as a fully-fledged creative agency. George loves being busy and can never say no to a glass of champagne (or two).
