A sales focused PR process

Using extensive experience, creativity, and media and industry connections, we create and implement bespoke PR strategies that get your business’s key message out there to drive trade.

1. Discover

This is a crucial stage where our expert team takes the time to truly understand your business, its key consumer demographics, its pain points and challenges, and what success looks like specific to YOU. Our team live and breathe the cafe industry, with our Director David specialising in hospitality public relations for over 20 years – so we know our stuff!

Goal setting
2. Goal setting

Here we clearly identify realistic expectations from our campaign and set objectives for what you want to achieve.

Planning and story development
3. Planning and story development

With a deep understanding of your café and knowledge of what our media contacts are looking for, we plan our tailored media campaign. This includes the development of unique story and news angles, and creative ideas (particularly relevant if your café is no longer new). Our planning stage also includes a timeline of activity so you get an understanding of what to expect.

Set up
4. Set up

Here we develop custom media lists, clever copy (including press releases and 100-worders) to support the different facets of your cafe business and our media angles, as well as, create a library of professional imagery. Top quality imagery is essential to support our campaign as few publications have their own photographers on staff!

Distribution and follow up
5. Distribution and follow up

Simply sending out press releases is only a small part of a good PR strategy. Creative distribution, hosted media café visits, and knowing who to speak to and when is crucial to ensure the best chance of success! Our custom pitching strategy and established contacts deliver great results for our clients.

Reporting and assessment
6. Reporting and assessment

We are always looking to improve, assessing the effectiveness of our campaign and how well it meets your objectives. Our transparent style of communication along with regular reporting and updates means you will always understand what is going on!

We have fun along the way

Our team of foodies live and love the café culture!

What if I am no longer a new venue – can you still get PR for my cafe?

Absolutely – we have extensive experience in successful stage two cafe marketing campaigns. When your venue is no longer new, we will work closely with you to develop a creative story and angles within this which we can leverage for media attention.

How many clippings can I expect to get from a PR campaign?

This varies from case to case; however, we are happy to give an indication of what we believe we can achieve for you during our initial consultation meeting. We do focus on quality of media clippings which we know will truly drive trade to your cafe and help to develop that word of mouth and third party endorsement which will make a genuine difference to your business.

Can you guarantee bums on seats?

It is very difficult to guarantee how much trade will improve as this very much depends on the cafe itself, however we have many long-term clients who will attest to the success of their campaign with us and the significant improvement in word of mouth and bums on seats.
