Here at Wasamedia, we have two talented in-house photographers/designers who boast years of experience in the hospitality industry. Depending on the type of contract you sign with us, they provide 2 - 4-hour shoots every month. At these shoots, they style shots with props and natural lighting, and then post-shoot, the images are carefully edited to reflect your brand style and mood.

Located at the water’s edge of the iconic Manly Beach, The Pantry Manly is a popular restaurant for locals and tourists alike. Upon new ownership, they had a minimal online and social media footprint. The restaurant had an incredible location, but needed a complete refresh of their branding to complement their location. Wasamedia overhauled the restaurant’s branding and digital presence. This included a refresh of their logos, menus, website and branding collateral as well as a stylised portfolio of photography and videography for social media. Now, The Pantry Manly has been put back on the map as an iconic Manly attraction and tourist destination.
During this six-month campaign, Wasamedia produced the entire brand look for The Rooftop, drawing from California’s Palm Springs as inspiration to create a bespoke logo, modern menus, and a creative portfolio of photography. A highly successful PR campaign and media launch party worked in unison to position the rooftop bar as the hot-spot for after-work cocktails in summer. The bar was hugely popular, with lines out the door to visit on Fridays and weekends.
Wasamedia were engaged to reinvigorate Gypsy Espresso’s social media presence considering the opening of their second café Went to See the Gypsy. Alongside thumb-stopping social media content and a strong PR campaign, the café has become one of the most popular venues in Alexandria.

In 2017 Wasamedia was briefed to assist with declining room sales across Anantara’s prestigious Maldives property, Anantara Kihavah (KIH). The resort is widely regarded as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Minor Hotel Group’s (MHG) 150 properties, with many celebrity fans. Wasamedia was tasked with creating ‘Instagrammable’ social content as well as an eCommerce campaign to drive awareness through to sales.

We shoot using only natural lighting, so it’s important that we have a well-lit area to take our shots. Depending on the client and the space available, this can mean shooting close to a window, or setting up a designated area outside.
We will send through the shot-list prior to the shoot which details the dishes/products we plan to take photos of. It’s important that the kitchen and the employees of your business are prepared for what needs to be brought out, so that things run smoothly.
