Wasamedia worked with Chubby Cheeks right from the beginning to create a unique brand identity which included the design of signage, logos and menus. The team successfully launched the restaurant with PR, content creation and geo-targeted digital marketing. In the lead up to the restaurant’s opening, Wasamedia created buzz around the launch through creating thumb-stopping content and liaising with key media to get the word out in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and beyond.
During this six-month campaign, Wasamedia produced the entire brand look for The Rooftop, drawing from California’s Palm Springs as inspiration to create a bespoke logo, modern menus, and a creative portfolio of photography. A highly successful PR campaign and media launch party worked in unison to position the rooftop bar as the hot-spot for after-work cocktails in summer. The bar was hugely popular, with lines out the door to visit on Fridays and weekends.
The billboard, erected in busy Martin Place, acted as the visual ‘ hook’ for the campaign whereby CBD workers were encouraged to take a pic of the installation, post to their Instagram and hashtag #soulorigin in order to receive a free salad from the pop-up Soul Origin kitchen. The ‘pay by Instagram’ billboard campaign, which promoted the Soul Origin tag line of ‘Eat Fresh-er’, attracted thousands of people and encouraged them to act as micro brand ambassadors by posting Soul Origin content organically to their own social feeds.
Our highly successful campaign was tested in Sydney before being launched nationally in 36 PappaRich stores, supported by a huge media relations, geo-targeted social media and influencer campaign.

This varies from case to case; however, we are happy to give an indication of what we believe we can achieve for you during our initial consultation meeting. We focus on quality media clippings that we know will truly drive trade to your venue and help to develop that word of mouth and third party endorsement which will make a difference to your business.
It is very difficult to guarantee how much trade will improve as this very much depends on the restaurant itself, however we have many long-term clients who will attest to the success of their campaign with us and the significant improvement in word of mouth and bums on seats. If sales are a specific focus, we can also look at integrating a digital element into our campaign which can directly track bookings from our activity.
